Nater Taters Pics.

So, I told you last week that I would share some more of Nate's pictures with you...
Well, I finally have some of them done.
He chose his clothes.
Cowboy jeans, cowboy boots, button-up shirt left open.

Poor kid has my ears.

I had this evening that I was going to spend with Nate all planned out.
We were going to go on a nature trail walk.
Just spend time together one-on-one, talk, explore, and take pictures.

Why is it that it never turns out quite like I plan??

We did end up at the nature trail....

But not alone...
not just Nate and I.

Nick was working on the house and it wasn't something
that Landen could play safely around.
So, we brought him along.
Not that I didn't want him there, but this was NOT easy to take pictures
of one and keep the other out of poison ivy.
Landen wanted his picture taken too.
And I am more than happy to capture a moment with the two of them
smiling and being kind to one another.
No hitting, yelling, fighting, tattling...

Maybe some unintentional choking.

We did find a few things exploring...
or I should say ran into them.

And by looking at this picture one would think what a happy boy.
So cooperative.
NO.
The mosquitoes were swarming us like they hadn't had dinner in months!
Landen kept yelling, "Mito bite, Mito bite!!!!"
Nate sat here for all of 2 seconds before he started waving his arms as if
the mosquitoes might eat might him alive.

So for the rest of the nature trail walk we ran.
We ran while Nate hollered, "I am SO DONE with pictures!"
We ran while Landen yelled, "Mito bite, Mito bite!!!"
We ran while I carried everything and Landen.

Then, we got out of the wooded area and it was suddenly better.
Not great, but better.

And I captured some of my favorite pictures of the boys.

And I know this one doesn't show Nate's face,
but I really love how it turned out.

The silhouette will forever remind me of a 7 year year old boy
that was standing next to the water
watching the birds, the sunset, skipping rocks, and kicking around a dead turtle.

Oh how he loved that dead turtle...it fascinated him.

beautiful autumn day for pictures.

I was asked by one of my absolute best friends
to take pictures of her babies.
I felt so honored.
Really Shanna!

After rescheduling once due to rain we chose an October day.

Olivia.

It was a gorgeous morning.
A little chilly,
but absolutely gorgeous.

These girls are hilarious.
At one point, Bryttan told me I had worked hard enough,
it was time for me to go home.
Hilarious.

Bryttan.

Are you starting to think that she has only girls?
WRONG.
There is the cutest little man that these girls call brother.

Ethan.

He is such a doll.
Chubby cheeks and a little waddle when he walks.

He wasn't super sure of me so bright and early...

Ethan really has three moms.

Can you guess who the other two are?

Did somebody say candy corn??!!!!!
We were having a hard time getting Ethan to smile.
Shaking the candy corn bag did the trick every time.

Or mom dancing behind me works too!

Hollering "body slam!" works well too with Ethan.
And the girls!

If I am ever blessed with a girl...
I hope she is just like these two.

 Throwing rocks in the pond...
what little boy doesn't love that?!

One that falls in...
poor baby.
I won't tell you all the details, but I might have yelled "SHANNA!!!"
loud enough for the residents in the nursing home next door to hear.

Here is the pretty mama with all three of her babies.
Ethan is giving me the evil eye because at this point...
I have the candy corn.

Thank you Shanna for being such a great friend.
You have a wonderful heart.
And I am so blessed to be able to call you my friend.
(photo talents of Bryttan, 6 years)

I hope you cherish these pictures forEVER and forgive me...
since I almost drown poor Ethan.

Love you!

P.S. This is the first time I was ever "tipped" for my services as a photographer.
Gotta love a bouquet of flowers and a vanilla dr.pepper!!!

Baby Briggs...just turned ONE.

I have been honored to be able to take Briggs' pictures since he was 3 months old.
It's hard to believe that he has grown so fast!
One?!? Seriously?!

He is even walking now.

Technically, I don't think that we can call him Baby Briggs anymore.
But Baby Briggs I'm sure it will always be...
until he is seven and embarrassed easily by mom or Auntie Carisa.

He was very content to be outside.
Our sessions have always been challenged by weather and age.
This time it was beautiful and he was a happy camper to explore.

Just look how big he is!
And so adorable...
he was talking non-stop.

I love this picture.
It's so true to this age.

And this picture is my absolute favorite.
It's the chubby cheeks.
Oh my...
I really love little ones at this age.

Thanks Mariah for letting me watch this little guy over the past year.
I have enjoyed it so much!

I have a handful of pictures yet to edit and will get the disk to you soon!

Aunt Katie's home...

Katie is home for a visit.
She is a good friend of mine.
I promised her some pictures this fall while she was home.
She didn't want pictures of just herself...
but the reason why she comes home to visit.

FAMILY.

Who wouldn't want to come home to see a precious face like this!?!

Aren't they adorable?
They kept saying, "Aunt Katie! Aunt Katie!"

Wyatt.
I never had to ask him to smile.

Cheyanne.
She had the whole "say cheese" down as well.

Tyson.
He was so busy exploring the pasture I had a hard time keeping up with him!

These two were doing a lot of "hunting" in between pictures.
They are so close...everywhere one went the other followed.
I love this picture.

Aunt Katie bought Cheyanne the cutest tutu,
so we HAD to get pictures of her in it.

We had animal crackers...
need I say more?

And just like that...
she was done with the us and the crackers.

These two had busied themselves with tossing rocks in the water.

While they threw rocks...we snuck in a few pictures of mom and dad also.

Katie, I really hope you like the pictures.
I think we captured your family wonderfully!
